Hi phil
I got this photo sent to me on the a lea village forum I studied it and I will be honest I seeing old pictures of both pubs I left the heading as supplied with the photo.
I will have to study it a little more. hope all is good with you.

I'm no expert on that part of Birmingham, it's just that I have these two photos of the same pub. There have been a few alterations over the years, but they are obviously the same pub, both are tagged as The Bell and both display the name of the pub, granted in the older one the name is The Old Belle but I have no doubt there was a name change to bring it up to date,.

I see what you mean phil when you look at the signs it looks as if it is the bell.

The class of 49 what a great photo. A few years earlier my dad would have been on a photo like that at that school.

I was just sitting here and out of the blue sprang Royal British Legion Club corner of Kelynmead Rd and Lea Hall Road. I cant remember ever going in there but passed it many times so how bizarre.
