Quite a lot has been made of Rio's exclusion from the squad and his agent has certainly had his say,  Reading striker Jason Roberts has also chipped in saying he thinks it might be down to "non footballing reasons",,,,,,,,,,,,personally I think the fact he is 33,hasn't played for England for a year and his own club manager says his lower back injury makes it impossible for him to play a game every 4 days is reason enough.

It's just the media as always, looking for some dirt to dish out before a competition, who are constantly on about Ferdinand & obviously have disregarded his fitness levels which, as you say, were highlighted by his own Manager.....There's still 5 days to go before England's first match so I suspect they will find something before the weekend just to stir things up & rock what seems to be a steady boat >:( ..Watch out for murdoch's lot on Sunday morning, they ain't given the country a decent "Headline" for over a year (although I did like "Drip,Drip Hooray" on Monday.  ::)

P.S.    Just found this on the Beeb's web site, Brill O0

Your probably right about our press, still plenty of time to come up with a controversal headline or two before the big kick off.

So now it seems the former England player Sol Campbell has joined the smear campaign against Hodgson and the FA saying he will return his 73 caps if it's proved that Rio's omission from the squad has anything to do with race.

Why can't people just accept that hard decisions have to be made every time major competitions come round,,,,,seems to me that the "race card" is being passed round with more gusto than the Olympic torch.

First game is almost upon us , ill go for a boring 0-0.

Best of luck to England, Roy will have us organised and hard to beat but i cant see many goals in that team.

Ill leave the group games to everyone else and go for Spain to win in a canter   ;)

Enjoy it everyone lets hope its a great Euro 2012

An interesting start, I was with Rob when he predicted a 0-0 bore draw for the opener, but it turned out a good game :)

Russia hitting 4 was a surprise as I felt a 1-1 or 2-2 scoreline would have been the final score.

Germany & Holland to win tonight by 2/3 goals O0
