I would agree with you Phil . It was taken over by M & B in 1919, but shut in 1923, so presumably it was derelict at the time of the photo

Either that or it was being used for another purpose by the time the photo was taken, like Holders other brewery the ex Vale of Evesham Brewery in Cato St North.

Members have posted three images of Howe Street and answered you questions as best they can. I don't think anybody has any better images of Howe Street than those that have been posted. Only time will tell so repeating your request will not help matters or hurry things along in any way.

Hi Dawnie

Welcome to the forum, don't worry you will soon get used to the forum and if you make a few mistakes don't worry about it, we have all had to learn.

We have a few members that lived in the Erskine St area including myself, but I'm sorry to say none of the names you mention ring a bell for me. Don't despair though I'm sure somebody will be able to help you.

hi phil my dads parents lived in the 1st house in the terrace that backed onto the railway arches , and  my dad would go through the arches to have a pint at the little pub that was the other side of the arches....i think there were about  six or so houses in the terrace.
