Yes it is me, Rita. My gran did live next to the entry and the other side was Mrs McKevitt and family, they moved to Yardley Green Rd. The family at the back of gran moved to Yardley Wood, as did we, and then we moved to Alum Rock when I was nine.

Does anyone remember Mrs cross who lived in Howe street up the entry opposite the pub, I can't remember what the pub was called, I do know the grocers was owned by Mr connor.

was the pub  the Duke or the Prince ?? something like that . I will ask Mom tomorrow. don't recall Mrs cross, although I must have walked pst the pub every day on the way to school. had a friend at the bottom of howe Street,  Val Webb

Of course it was, many a time I was left outside there with a packet of crisps and a Vimpto waiting for my Grand dad. Then had to help him on the bus back to nans at Alum Rock.  He was always very tired and emotional was my Grand dad  ;)

St Evenlucy, I went to Bishop Ryders 1951  1956, Then Loxton street Boys school, Had a lot of friends from around Belmont Row, I lived in Lawrence street, tamboroos shop i believe the sons had a band called the 3 Ts

I found the Kings Arms it was at 14 Princes Row off Howe Street, of anybody has a photo of it I would love a copy for my collection.
