I used to attend Toni Tamburro's accordion shop for lessons near Howe St in the mid 60's.  Did anyone on this forum establish if the accordion shop was in Belmont Row or Howe Street or another road?

All I can recall was the street was still cobbled and the building fronts supported by wooden struts to keep them standing.  Seemed to be a converted terraced house.

Does anyone have any photos of the roads or shops from the 1920's to 60'sonwards?

The only Accordion shop I can find in the trade directory was at 1 Stafford Street, it's the first shop on the right past the corner cafe the photo is a little earlier than the sixties but it the best one to see the shop that I have.

You told me Phil about the Tamborros shop that was just of Dale End last year.Just up the first street on the right from the traffic lights towards the town centre. This street came out at the top of James Watt St and contained the place that printed the Evening Dispach paper

The dairy halfway up James Watt Street on the corner of Ashley Passage was Birmingham Dairy Co Ltd. On this photo it is the white building just below the Army recruiting office.
