I remember him in William Edward St, but after 55, he had two sisters who I believe lived in Hope St with their mom, not sure about the dad, he would be 65yrs this year, but he passed a few years ago, his grandparents name was Mr and Mrs Henry
Did he marry Nita, Bernie Halls cousin.

Yes he did, he lived in St Martins flats after they were married

He passed away a few years ago, I never knew Anita, just heard who he'd married through friends,

Oh dear, it is sad, he could not of been that old, I would say he was only about 6 years older than me.

From the description you give I think we are in Lincoln St, and this might be the café you mean in one of a series of photos MikeJee took whilst Birmingham was being demolished.
