Hi, just a question, in Balsall Heath rd, there was the Co-op on one courner, then there was  warewell ( work overalls) and I think Muddymans greengrocers that was the point where Upper Cox St and balsall Heath Rd met  what was the name of the street  the other side of Balsall Heath Rd from Upper Cox St, .
I remember the families that lived there, like: Frosts ( John and his sister) then the Banebridges, Cathey,Chrisy, Laurance Banebridge,  Pauline Stevens,

Does anyone remember Allan Robinson, used to live in Gosford St, on the left, there where two new houses built on the corner , and in one  of them was a girl called Marrian, "yes "I know, I only seem to remember the girls and not the boys in this area. she always seem to be fighting for a lost corse like save the rabbits or the chickens she even had a meeting about the down and outs  in Balsall Heath, she wanted to help them, and as sure as god made little apples I put my foot into it, by saying they should help them selves, that put an end to that romance..................john 2000 8)
