Local knowledge of handsworth post WW11
« on: August 14, 2012, 08:41:03 PM »
Need the help of somebody who either lives in/near wesrbourne road, handsworth or indeed knows some wonderful elderly person who may remember if house number '1' was ever a hostel or a lodging house. I have traced my mother to that house in November 1945 and then again in west bromwich in 1947. ANY help or advice would be most welcome.

By the way, I am and always will be, a Brummie. Being one, for me, is like having one hugh multi-national family. A child of the 50's. BEST friends growing up, Miss. Montserrat, Miss Ireland, Miss Pakistan, Mrs. Austria, all aged 11.
