Good evening all, just "joined up"!!!

Nice to see these old photos after 50+  years....  I used to be Bandmaster at 220th Birmingham St Mary's Moseley about 1960 to 1969.  I knew "H£ quite well, but as we were in a different District we didn't meet up so often.

Interesting to see the photos of the Methodist hall & the talk of the BB.  We had moved from Bissell Street in '57 to Lime Grove & I guess it was the BB that got me started in Marching Bands.

Look forward to hearing your memories,

Dave

PS. Think I may have double posted - never seem to know what all the differences in systems is!!!!!

yes the captain of the 10th BB was warm hearted Harold Burnett. I was a bugler around 1948-51 striding through the Balsall H streets on Sunday. Fond memories. The BB kept me reasonably straight/ I now live in New Zealand. PS I was also choir boy prior at St Pauls. I lived in Kingsley Rd off st Pauls
