Good to hear your memories of the Tow Rope, it very soon after opening became a 24 hr cafe, first for cinema goers then the klate clubbers, could often be quite exciting there in the wee small hours, it was a big part of my teenage years

If you had used the bag of nails (Carpenters Arms) a few years back you wouldn't have thought it boring. It did the best lunch time trade of any pub I knew.
