Hi Nathan

Two good pubs, I've used both, I used to go to a country & western night at the Red Lion Kings Heath on the 70's it was always a good night with some good bands.
Phil died in 2020. RIP.

Hi Dave,

Wasn't The Harvester at Monkspath previously called The Crown Inn, sorry I don't have a photo because it's outside Birmingham and I only collect Birmingham pubs.

Hi Phil/Dave yes it was the Crown. My old haunt in the mid 70's, such happy memories. It was demolished in the 80's became Jeffersons, sort of American place and now a Harvester. Crown was such a great pub and a great crowd. Ron was the gaffer, Mavis his wife. Their son diedvery young this hit Mavis hard. He was the same age as us crowd. Ron and Mavis always looked after us, they were a credit to the pub trade.

Was called the Primrose Inn, opened about 1965. Passed there about three weeks ago, now a general store. The place looks so run down

pub 4 2day.
Nathan I remember this as The Greenwood Tree. Built ? 1965/66 on Primrose hill estate. I remember it being built. I can also remember as a kid talking to the Brickies when they were bricking up the areas under the Windows( that are now blue boards). Those windows were the bar. The gabled porch to the right of those windows was the only way into the pub. Through the porch to the left, the bar and straight on into the lounge. As a beer mat collector then. I would go into the lounge at lunch time and nick the beer mats off the tables. The lounge was always empty at that time.
