Walking , Cycling , a day out for Brummies
« on: June 14, 2013, 05:14:57 PM »
Canals are the best for walking and cycling, one of the easiest routes is the birmingham to wolverhampton. Good towpath all the way. 30 miles return, and railway stations along the route for return.
I am planing a walk at the moment. Start at solihull station then train,  to old hill, then walk to dudley port taking netherton tunnel, little dry dock pub is closed, but fingers crossed the weatsheaf is still open at bumble hole.MUST TAKE MY LED LIGHTS
hoping you will add your idea's to this site

Looks good, that walk about 8miles return? quick guess. Bit too much for me at the moment just about manage 5 mile with my policemans foot ,wish I could do more now i don't have to wear gators with better weather.I will put to the club tonight. Is that micro brewery open to public in spernall? Just checked my map and if I start at the boot studley that looks just about right. cheers
