Extra special this one, good real ales, a real old type pub. has to be visited a least once. hatton five ways  warwick road.turn right at island then first right into case lane half mile on left. Good starting point for walking and cycling.
I don't know if it is true but i was told that there is a pound fine if your phone rings.sounds like a wind up, but wouldn't surprize me if it true.
moxhall abby, or hall. well worth a visit open to the public. prices for tea very good

Nathan,
The Malt Shovel at Harthill, I have had quite a few meals in there that is my brothers local and his granddaughter works there and his son is always in there having a drink   O0

Do you go to all these pubs to take the photos that you put on.

Fred, look at the Old Pubs of Brum thread. His photos are epic! A proper social document. 8)

I'll say I do !. I remember coming from earlswood to horse&jockey, then coach&horses Weather oak. then the VERY STEEP LANE to the Peacock (cycling) even at my age I try not to let hills beat me but that one did.
I did like the peacock ,nice atmosphere. nice walks from there. and not too far to drive on a nice day .

I have had a drink at the Peacock, we were on one of those looking for clues things and we ended up at that pub.

You have been to Earlwood did you go anywhere by the Red Lion it used to be the midland red bus terminus.
