We started the walk from the huff cap. east to aston cantlow then arden way,then south to aston green,west to walcote, then northwest back to huff cap. not the one you recommended but a nice walk anyway. cracking pub  but a bit quiet in the afternoon.

have you tried the walk from the  white lion, then bulls head , then Saracens head Balsall Common.and return to white lion.
it only about 6 miles return.

Maybe the little donkey's name is currently Raffles then :) As I remember it they do" a name the donkey" competition at the fete every year and one year it turned out he was named after one of the local regulars whose name escapes me.
I have not done this one this year.

A cracking little 4.5 mile walk , and found two sweet chestnut tree's just south of pub. I will be going there again november.
