I think I have a slight recollection of a Bundy clock just before the hump back bridge heading toward Lichfield Rd, are you talking there or the other side of the road heading to Nechells?

In 1950 on the one side of the road was a printers shop (to Lichfield Rd) and on the other (to Nechells) was a coffee house. a newsagent, a post office, and a butcher.

Thanks Pudding that looks like the ones although no sign of the Bundy clock but the photo is quite early so it may not have been put there till later. Dek

I have this one, but not knowing that end of Nechells very well I didn't realise what it was. It's a little earlier than your photo.

If I remember rightly the Clock was facing where those shops were, in other words, coming along Nechells Park road toward Cuckoo Bridge it was on the left just before the corner with Long Acre.

This photo of a No 7 trolley bus says that it is standing at the Terminus in Nechells, it looks like the other side of Cuckoo Rd to me, but there is no Bundy clock in view and I have a few other photos of the same location and it can't be seen in any of them.

I think the Bundy clock was a few yards past the shops I remember I used to get off the114 Midland Red and walk over Cookoo Bridge past the shops and then jump on the bus what I cant recall is how did the bus turn round was there a big circular area around the Junction of Long Acre and Cookoo Rd to allow this.
