Birmingham/Bromsgrove buses
« on: August 27, 2013, 03:37:23 PM »
The Rousler (the Bromsgrove Society local history magazine) is producing an article about the history of local buses in the area. (144, Midland Red etc)
Does anyone have photos (colour or b&w) we can use to help us illustrate it?
Afraid, no money involved, but, if you took the photo, we will credit you.

There is a photo of a 144 Midland Red in Malcolm Keeley's book Birmingham Buses Route by Route 1925-1975. The photo is credited to The Transport Museum at Wythall, perhaps if contact them you might get a result. Perhaps a bit of free advertising might help you never know they may have other photos of what you require.
Phil died in 2020. RIP.

Photo's taken at the rear of Birmingham's long-gone Market Hall might show 144's loading up at the Station Street terminus.
There's no B/S on Planet Malc.
