Ward End area
« on: October 08, 2020, 11:20:55 AM »
Hi, I am new to the forum.

I was bought up in Northleigh Rd in the 1940s to 1960. I attended Ingelton Rd school primary and Sladefield Rd Secondary school. My Dad worked at  the big car manufacture on Drews Lane.

Does anyone have any memories or photos of these or the general Ward End area.   My maiden surname is Smith.

Shirley Rock, my best mate Bob Weetman lived in Northleigh Rd.
His Mom& Dad worked on the trams  and buses. at Washwood Heath Depot.
He lived there all his life from 40s till he got married in the 60s
Make every day a day to remember
Because this ain't no rehearsal
And you ain't coming back
