Every Friday 4 30 dead on. 5 different pops and 3 men on the Lorry running door to door with the pop.
Make every day a day to remember
Because this ain't no rehearsal

I do remember Alpine Pop but didn’t know they had a depot in Cateswell Rd. I worked in the Cateswell Lodge Garage at the junction of Cateswell Rd and Stratford Rd from around 1971 -1973. Where about was the Depot?

It’s very odd, I just can’t place it. We’d travel that way from Chelmsley Wood, via The Swan, Yardley, through Tysley then up to Cateswell.

What I can remember down the road on the right was an old motorcycle factory, near a small roundabout or crossroads and a pub opposite. The last time I was in there I think Alvin Stardust was singing My Coocachoo on the Dukebox.......

Gw you are  way behind the times with Cateswell Rd The Old Velocette Motor Cycle Factory went I would say more than 40years ago. BSR [Record Changers] had purpose built factory built on the site early 70s they never occupied it. Lucas Aerospace Electronics took it  on and were there up until around 5/6 years ago were they were taken over [together with The Shaftmoor Lane Site] by Rolls Royce and moved to new factory on The Birmingham Business Park not far from The NEC and Birmingham Airport'
The site is now being developed into an Housing Estate
