I was born in 1962 and remember the old ST Thomas'son Granville street and the damaged church opposite I too went to the new school in cregoe street. Infants and juniors and also onto lea mason. only teacher I can remember is MRS Holcroft from the infants.

I was born in Ryland Rd Edgbaston just opposite Lee Crescent 1949 the hill of the crescent was great for our go carts.

I think the 2nd photo in reply 5 is so realistic The change is about to take place but its so nice to see how the old was. Thanks to Phil for posting the photo.

Hi Dave, you are 2 years my junior, we lived at 27 Dorking Grove (one of the 4 flat roofed houses at the end of the grove). We used to play football over at the damaged church. Only teacher I remember from the infants was Mrs Lester....lovely woman. Do you remember any names of people who lived in the area when you were growing up?

hi i grew up in lee bank in the 70s .i went to STcathrines from 1971 i lived in dorking grove .i had a great childhood there,its hard to find anybody from that era on line.
