Bet the tram lines were a pain in the bum if crossing the road in stilletto heels. Not that any of you guys would own up.....than again i know the warped sense of humor you lot have. ;D

They were a bloody good thing to follow at night after the pub threw you out especially if you couldn't see the kerb, not that I would know anything about that (too young and innocent), You would have to ask some one like Roy Ben or perhaps John for verification.

Didn't mind the stiletto heels, it was the nylon stockings and suspenders I couldn't get used to. mine kept wrinkling all the time like Norah Batty.

Phil,

You should have dyed your legs, like I did, and wear no knickers, like Roy's nurse, but then you do have to watch out for ye dangley bits, that they don't get caught in the points.

The photo could even be prior to WW1, as the tramcars were built in 1903 by the City of Birmingham Tramways Co. Ltd. They were subsequently acquired by Birmingham City Transport in 1911.

Built in the 1903.? I don't think so, the houses on the right, are typical of the late 20-30's era............John 2000
