Has anyone got photos of Bendall Road1960.I have searched the internet but can't find what im looking for i've seen the one of the street party in the 50s.I just want one of the houses.Thank's Irene

Hi Irene,
 
                 I lived in Bendall Rd up until I got married in 1981. Mom & Dad still live there. Unfortunatley I don't have any photos of the area. Maybe a photo of a house from another part of the City may help, as this type of  house was of a popular design during the 1930s when the Council estates were built. Parts of Acocks Green were of a similar type to the houses in Bendall Rd.

If it is only a photo of the type of house you want, then this photo grabbed from Google should show that much at least. I doubt that very little has changed since the road was built. They are of the type that we used to call Municipal houses or Inter War houses.
